We had a lovely breakfast in a pleasant restaurant with appetising dishes, generous portions, and a wonderful view of the park, and the location was perfect, close to nightclubs and restaurants.

My family and I appreciated being there. The room was newly remodelled & spotless, came with tidy bathroom, a decent size TV, for example. The location was fab and decent, within walking distance of J d Leisure.

Great location with view to the sea and local park.
What was on offer for breakfast could have being better. Little choice. Bathroom ventilation did not work. There was obvious maintenance that needed to be done. At the time of writing sept 2022 the hotel was up for sale and looking for a buyer.

The breakfast was the best I had in South Shields, perfect for early risers. Central location by a park, with pubs, bars, and restaurants nearby, making it a relaxing area.- Great-sized rooms and excellent service were highlights of my stay.

Location with view of the beach,. Very friendly staff, perfect English breakfast, new furniture in the room. Free parking at the hotel parking lot.
In the annex the rooms are rather simple. In the main building, the painting work at the floor entrances is unprofessional. No air conditioning. . Photo of the hotel misleading

Comfort of room,diningroom and lounge.Staff were very helpful and good humoured Also the romance of the hotel. My husband and I had our first date there many many years ago so staying there brought back wonderful memories.

The staff were friendly, polite and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent.
It is looking a little tired in the bar/restaurant areas
